Visit of Secretary General Sultan Raev to SETA DC

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev visited the Washington think tank SETA DC and met with Coordinator Kadir Üstün. During the meeting, possible joint projects were discussed in order to introduce the concept of Turkestan and the Turkic World to a wider audience in the United States of America and to explore the richness and depth of Turkic culture by non-profit organisations, scientific circles and policy makers in the USA.

SETA President expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stated that the events to be organised by TURKSOY in the USA will provide a better understanding of the economic, political and cultural importance of Türkiye and the Turkic World.
 

Coordinator Üstün who stated that TURKSOY and SETA can organise events such as joint panels and conferences where their fields of work overlap  also stressed that TURKSOY's contacts in the USA have a great significance especially for the diaspora members and that these activities are an important step in the international promotion of  Turkic culture.
 

Secretary General Raev expressed TURKSOY's readiness to cooperate with SETA and said that such joint activities will contribute to the  strengthening of  cultural ties between the Turkic World and the USA.
