Visit of Secretary General Raev to the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Washington
During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on TURKSOY-Uzbekistan relations as well as on possible joint events to be organised in 2025-2026. Ambassador Sidiqov shared examples of events organised at the Embassy in the past years and stated that the doors of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington are always open to TURKSOY. Ambassador Sidiqov also noted that joint events were organised with the embassies of TURKSOY member countries and that the scope of these events could be further increased with the contributions of TURKSOY and thus fruitful results could be achieved in terms of promoting the rich culture of the Turkic World to the world.
Secretary General Sultan Raev stated that he was very impressed by the Embassy building which resembles a museum and said: ‘As TURKSOY, we would like to organise an event in this special place with the participation of all our Embassies as soon as possible.
Secretary General Raev stated that the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington is a unique place that can host cultural and artistic events with its historical texture and artistic layout and expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Sıdıkov for bringing this place together with art lovers on the occasion of cultural events.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Raev visited the halls on the ground floor of the Embassy where handicrafts, national instruments and traditional clothes reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan were exhibited with great interest and took a souvenir photo with Ambassador Sidiqov in front of the Biruni Statue in front of the Embassy building.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington will hold a spectacular concert at The Kennedy Center on February 8th, 2025, starring the famous National Friendship Ensemble and opera singer Jenisbek Piyazov, as well as the Lazgi Dance Ensemble.
