TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev met with the President of the TRNC, Mr. Ersin Tatar

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev was received by the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar on the margins of the 4th  Diplomacy Forum of Antalya. In  the meeting, mutual evaluations were made on the continuation of the cultural cooperation between TURKSOY and the TRNC.

President Tatar stated that the place of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the Turkic World is gaining more importance day by day and thanked Secretary General Raev for his support to make the TRNC more effective and visible. President Tatar invited Secretary General Raev to the opening ceremony of the New Presidential Compound to be held on May 3rd, World Turkism Day.

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev reminded that he paid his first official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2006 as Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan. Stating that he attended  the  celebrations of the  Republic Day on November 15th in the TRNC last year, Mr. Raev stressed that the TRNC's participation in TURKSOY's activities is a great achievement for the Turkic World. Secretary General Raev further expressed his appreciation as to the active participation of  artists from the TRNC in  activities carried out under the auspices of TURKSOY and noted that TURKSOY will continue to provide all kinds of support to further strengthen this cooperation.

In the meeting, the President of the TRNC Mr. Tatar was accompanied by the Special Advisor on International Relations and Diplomacy Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal and the Special Advisor to the President Mr. Gökhan Güler along with the  Advisor on Youth Policies Mr. Mustafa Fırat.
