The famous poet of South Azerbaijani origin Ali Tûde was commemorated in Eskişehir
A commemorative panel dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the famous poet of South Azerbaijani origin was held in Eskişehir on December 13th, 2024.
The panel organized in coopertion of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture TURKSOY with the Association of Azerbaijanis of Eskişehir and the Anadolu University as well as the Heydar Aliyev Application and Research Center took place at the Nasreddin Hodja Hall of the Anadolu University and gathered Prof. Dr. Burhan Sayılır, Faculty Member of the Anadolu University and Director of the Heydar Aliyev Application and Research Center, the President of the Association of Azerbaijanis of Eskişehir Mr. Cavid Aydın, the Head of the Department of TURKSOY for Relations with Turkic Speaking Communities Dr. Cavid Mövsümlü who delivered opening and welcoming speeches and shared their feelings and thoughts on the meaning and importance of the day.
Speaking on behalf of TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, Dr. Cavid Mövsümlü conveyed the greetings of Secretary General Raev to the audience and wished the panel to be successful. The opening speeches were followed by a panel discussion chaired by Mrs. Mehpare Şahin and featuring contributions by the poet Sayman Aruz, the Director of the South Azerbaijan Branch of the Authors' Association of Azerbaijan, and Natik Javadzade, the Director of the Azerbaijan State Television AZTV as well as the son of Ali Tûde who presented papers on the life and art of the famous poet Tûde and answered questions asked by participants.
At the end of the panel Prof. Dr. Burhan Sayılır handed over certificates of appreciation to the panel speakers and Dr. Cavid Mövsümlü, handed over certificates of appreciation to the President of the Association of Azerbaijanis of Eskişehir Mr. Cavid Aydın on behalf of of TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev.
