The famous Kazak author Muhtar Avezov was commemorated on the 125th anniversary of his birthday

On the 125th anniversary of his birthday, Muhtar Avezov who is one of the famous authors of  Kazakhstan, was commemorated in an event organized by  TURKSOY.

Within the framework of activities it further carries out to strengthen cultural ties among Turkic Republics and foster the exchange of repertoires and experiences in the field of theater TURKSOY carried out a theater performance of the play entitled “Enlik-Kebek” by Muhtar Avezov. The performance took place in cooperation with the National Academic Drama Theater named after the famous Kyrgyz playwright whom TURKSOY dedicated a commemorative year to pay tribute to the legacy of this illustrious figure of the Turkic World on the 100th anniversary of his birthday.

While the performance at the New Music and Drama Theater in the city of Turkistan  took place  in the presence of TURKSOY Secretary General  Sultan Raev and the Director of Cultural Affairs of the Province of  Turkistan Azimhan Koilıbayev,  the performance held at  the Sayran Uzbek Theater in the city of Shymkent in Kazakhstan  was attended by  the Representative of Kazakhstan to TURKSOY  Bakıtjan Omarov  as well as local officials and amateurs of art.

At the end of the performance held in Turkistan which  was yet another contribution to the development of ties between theaters of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and was also  strongly appreciated by the audience, TURKSOY Secretary General  Sultan Raev handed over souvenir plates of TURKSOY to the officials of the  theater.
