Spectacular performance by the Azerbaijani actor Shevki Huseynov in Shymkent

On the third day of the IXth International Theatre Festival of Central Asian Countries, jointly organized by the Mukhtar Avezov Kazakh National Drama Theatre and the Jumat Shanin City Academic Kazakh Drama Theatre, the famous Azerbaijani actor Shevki Huseynov took the scene.

Huseynov, who staged the one-man play ‘Telegram from the murderer’ at the Russian Drama Theatre, received full marks from Shymkent art lovers and the jury with his performance.

The play, which focuses on the last day of a hired killer named Jalil, in addition to its interesting subject, requires the highlighting of acting skills that require the instant reflection of different emotions in a narrow space.

In the play, Şevki Huseynov, who successfully performed the emotional transitions experienced by the hired killer, received standing ovations for minutes by the audience.

The play was staged under the direction of the young artist Azur Aliyev with a stage design  by Afak Bayramova.
