Secretary General Raev met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Ambassador A. Berris Ekinci
On February 13th, 2025, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev held a meeting with Ambassador A. Berris Ekinci, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye in Ankara.
Deputy Minister Ekinci stated that he closely follows up successful projects carried out by TURKSOY for many years and emphasised the role of the Organisation in the strengthening of existing ties between kindred Turkic communities. Secretary General Raev, on his part, expressed his pleasure to work together with Mr. Ekinci as the Deputy Minister for Turkic Cooperation Organisations and Turkic States within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and expressed his best wishes as to the strengthening of unity and solidarity among kindred Turkic States.
During the meeting, various aspects of existing cooperation mechanisms were discussed. In particular, both parties exchanged views on new initiatives of the Secretariat in TURKSOY's relations with leading international organisations and third countries. It was also agreed on the need to strengthen the institutional structure of the Organisation.
In addition, information was also exchanged on the official opening ceremony of Aktau, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2025 as well as on international events to be organised therein throughout the year.
In the meeting Secretary General Raev was accompanied by Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf and Protocol Manager Fatih Aliyi.
