Panel dedicated to the 90th Anniversary of the Birthday of the Famous Gagauz Museum Expert Dimitri Kara Çoban

The Panel on  the Famous Gagauz Museum Expert  Dimitri Kara Çoban on the 90th Anniversary of his Birthday was held cooperation of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) with the Chief Administration of Culture of Gagauzia, and under the coordination of the Union of Museums of TURKSOY and Museums of the Turkic World.

The panel held on May 18th, 2023 in Komrat, the capital of Gagauzia (Moldova) featured paper presentations by scholars from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Moldova and Gagauzia. 

At the event, plaquettes were handed over to Mrs. Marina Semionova, Head of the  Directorate General of Culture of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia and to Dimitri Kara Çoban’s daughter and  Director of the Ethnographic Museum named after him, Mrs. Ludmila Marin on behalf of Secretary General Sultan Raev. Within the framework of the event  dedicated to 90th Anniversary of his Birthday of Dimitri Kara Çoban, guests who came from abroad to participate in the panel also  visited the Historical Museum of the Avdarma Village, the Ethnographic Museum of Dimitri Kara Coban and to the Mother-Father Local House Museum.

The visit was highlighted by colourful folklore performances of ensembles of the Municipality of Beshalma which were strongly appreciated by participants.
