“International Jaydarman Festival” held in Kazakhstan

The "International Jaydarman Festival" was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, between February 5th-11th, 2024 by the Jaydarman Comedy Federation.

This year, 185 teams of young people aged 16-35 and 83 teams of children aged 6-16 participated in Jaydarman, a comedy competition held for the 25th time in Kazakhstan.

Jaydarman, which started as a club where Kazakh young people exhibit their talents, is a platform where thousands of people have realised their dreams so far. The stage performance of the teams participating in the competition was evaluated by a jury consisting of experts in their fields.

The competition, which attracted participants from many regions of Kazakhstan, started with the performances of young people in teams. After the performances, the message of TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev was delivered to the young people. In his message Secretary General Raev said: “The International Organisation of Turkic Culture attaches special importance to actvities aimed at young people. We have full confidence in them as they are the bright faces of our future  who will be assuming the mission to  transmit Turkic culture from one generation to the next. This is why we have accelerated our activities for young people with our ”Youth Vision Programme" launched last year. It is very important for us to have come together with you today. We believe that our cooperation with you  will grow stronger everyday. Dear young people, the International Organisation of Turkic Culture TURKSOY is always ready to welcome you."

After the communication of the message conveyed by Secretary General Raev to participants of the festival, a souvenir was handed over to the President of the Jaydarman Comedy Federation Mr. Yesen Yeleuken on behalf of TURKSOY  Secretary General Raev.

The Jaydarman Festival offering a pleasant atmosphere to the audience  will go on  for seven days featuring colourful  performances by the  participating teams.
