Honour Medal of TURKSOY awarded to Türkan Şoray

Within the framework of the 1st International  Film Festival of Bishkek, Mrs. Türkan Şoray, the famous Turkish film actress was handed over the  Order of Honour of TURKSOY in recognition of  her outstanding contribution to  culture and art in the Turkic World.

Following the award ceremony, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev said: "Türkan Şoray is not only one of the most important actresses of Turkish cinema, but also a cultural ambassador who is always committed  to the  preservation and transmission  of our culture to future generations. I congratulate her.

The actress Türkan Şoray who expressed her deep gratitude  to be awarded this  Order of Honour by TURKSOY, the first Turkic cooperation organisation, added that she attaches great importance to this award which is very valuable for her.
