"Greetings From Our Kindred People Of the Steppe to Anatolia"

The concert held in the Theatre Hall named after Necip Fazıl Kısakürek under the motto …..was organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Municipality of Keçiören and the Embassy of Kazakhstan. 

The event which was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of TURKSOY and the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the Kazakh film and theatre actress Biken Rimova gathered the Mayor of Keçiören Turgut Altınok, the Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Prof. Dr. Bilal Çakıcı, the Consul General of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ankara Temirlan Sailauuly and the Chief Cultural Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ankara Islam Guliyev along with  representatives of political parties and non-governmental organisations as well as many  art lovers from Keçiören.

In the opening speech he delivered at the concert which started with the national anthems of Turkey and Kazakhstan, the Mayor of Keçiören Turgut Altınok emphasised that the Municipality of Keçiören further organizes events for the Turkic World and said: "As Ismail Gaspıralı said, we must ensure 'Unity in Language, Work and Ideas'. The joy of our brother states is our joy and their sorrow is our sorrow. A strong and united Turkic World means a Turkic World which takes  more confident steps towards the future... Atatürk says, “Oh! Turkish youth! Knowing your ancestors will help you find the strength, power and might which you need in yourself to accomplish great deeds." The name of our programme is From the Steppe to Anatolia, but we can also call it From Altai Mountains to Anatolia, From Tian Shen Mountains to Anatolia. Greetings from Anatolia to the Tian Shen Mountains, to the entire Turkic World!”

The Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY who also took the floor at the event expressed his happiness to have come together at this concert featuring " Greetings From Our Kindred People Of the Steppe to Anatolia " dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY and the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the Kazakh theatre and film actress Biken Rimova. 

Prof. Dr. Çakıcı further said: "The name of our concert actually describes everything very well, doesn't it? Once again, we have come together with the kindred people from our ancestral homeland to our motherland, once again the Turkic World is hand in hand, heart to heart. This picture will soon turn into an unforgettable memory with the magnificent performances of the Atyrau State Art Academy, which came to our country from Atyrau, Kazakhstan."

After the opening speeches, students of the Art Academy of the Atyrau Province of Kazakhstan took the scene and gave an unforgettable performance which raised great enthusiasm and appreciation among the audience with a fashion show featuring Kazakh traditional garments redesigned along with modern features and a concert introducing colourful examples of both traditional and contemporary music and dances.
