Flags lowered to half-mast at TURKSOY

On the occasion of the national mourning declared in the Republic of Türkiye due to the tragic fire in Kartalkaya Ski Resort, flags were lowered to half-mast at  TURKSOY Headquarters. Upon  instructions of  Secretary General Sultan Raev, the message of solidarity and unity of the Turkic World was emphasised in these painful days.

The flags of the founding countries of TURKSOY, namely Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye and Turkmenistan, as well as the flags of observer members of TURKSOY were lowered to half-mast to in solidarity and deep sorrow of the Turkic World with the kindred Republic of Türkiye.

Secretary General  Raev who conveyed a messageof condolence on the occasion of the national mourning day, stated that this tragic accident deeply grieved the entire Turkic World. In his message, Secretary General Raev said: 

"This tragic accident which hit our kindred  Republic of Türkiye has plunged our hearts in deep sorrow and we have lowered the flags of the whole Turkic World to half-mast along with the flag of our host country, the Republic of Türkiye,  at the premises of TURKSOY as a gesture to show that we stand in solidarity with our kindred country, Türkiye.

On behalf of the Turkic World, we hereby once again stress the strength of our solidarity and brotherhood. We wish patience to the families and relatives of the deceased, and a speedy recovery to those who were  wounded. May the victims of this tragic accident rest in peace."
