Farewell ceremony held in Almaty for Murat Auezov

The farewell ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Sultan Raev, the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, Mrs. Aida Balayeva, the Minister of Culture and Information  of Kazakhstan, MPs of Kazakhstan, celebrities, Kazak intellectuals and relatives of Auezov. The farewell ceremony dedicated to the state and public figure Murat Mukhtaruly Auezov was held at the Kazakh National Drama Theatre named after him.
 

In the speech he delivered at the farewell ceremony, Secretary General Raev said:

"Murat Auezov  made great contributions to Kazakh culture, Kazakh civilisation and the Turkic World. Throughout his life, he accomplished  invaluable works for the unity and cultural integration of the peoples of the Turkic World and made significant contributions to  brotherhood and friendship in the Turkic World."
