Cooperation Protocol signed by TURKSOY and the Kyrgyz National Radio and Television
A Protocol on Cooperation was signed between the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and the Kyrgyz National Radio and Television (KNRT).
Within the framework of his visit to Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY, Secretary General Sultan Raev met with Director General Bolotbek Tillebaev. During the meeting held in the premises of the KNRT Mr. Sultan Raev and Mr. Bolotbek Tillebaev discussed issues pertaining to projects to be carried out in the Turkic Worldin cooperation of TURKSOY with the KNRT. Mr. Bolotbek Tillebaev, Director General of KNRT, said that preparations are under way to open an office of the KNRT in Turkey and in order to establish cooperation with the Turkish broadcaster TRT so as to ensure to ensure the flow of news on the Turkic World.
During the meeting, Mr. Tillebaev also proposed the establishment of a Union of Television and Radio Broadcasting Organisations of Turkic States for the exchange of content between Turkic-speaking countries. Tillebaev also emphasised that the technical specialists working in the field of television and radio broadcasting have started retraining and exchanging experience abroad and drew attention to the need to prepare a project for the KNRT aiming at Kyrgyz people working, living and studying abroad as well as at citizens of various professions.
TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev expressed his readiness to support the proposals and initiatives of the KNRT. Noting that they will support the implementation of projects that will ensure the flow of information and strengthen cooperation between the Turkic States, he pointed out that the implementation of the Cooperation Protocol to be signed will start in the near future. Following the meeting, Secretary General Sultan Raev and Director General Bolotbek Tillebaev signed the Protocol which will create a legal basis for the Cooperation between TURKSOY and the KNRT.
