The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Sadyr Japarov met with Mr. Sultan Raev, the Secretary General of TURKSOY in his office
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Sadyr Japarov met with Mr. Sultan Raev, the Secretary General of TURKSOY and members of his delegation in his office within the framework of their official visit in Kyrgyzstan.
In the meeting, President Japarov and Secretary General Raev discussed issues regarding the further development of longstanding ties of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and TURKSOY as well as the increase in events and activities aiming at the cultural integration among countries of the Turkic World.
“TURKSOY: A cultural bridge between Turkic speaking countries”
President Japarov who congratulated Mr. Raev for his election as Secretary General of TURKSOY expressed his appreciation as to the fact a representative of the Kyrgyz Republic has been elected to this post for the first time.
President Saparov who added that the duty of Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States will also be assumed by a representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2023 further stressed that the coming years will be of key importance for Kyrgyzstan in terms of its relations with the Turkic World.
President Saparov who also said that the Kyrgyz Republic supports activities carried out by TURKSOY and welcomes its commitment to the strengthening of ties of friendship and brotherhood among Turkic peoples as well as to the fostering of cultural and human ties expressed his belief in the fact that Secretary General Raev will make strong contributions to the development ad strengthening of friendly and cultural ties among TURKSOY member countries.
President Japarov said: “TURKSOY has become a cultural bridge linking Turkic speaking countries to eachother. With major activities it has succesfully carried out, it has become a highly respected international organization enjoying worldwide recognition."

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev who also said a few words at the meeting expressed his gratitude to President Japarov for having suggested him as a candidate the post of Secretary General of TURKSOY as well as for the valuable support he provided in this respect.
Secretary General Raev who briefly informed President Japarov about activities foreseen to be carried out by TURKSOY to promote Turkic culture and art added that the main goal of TURKSOY is to ensure cultural unity among kindred Turkic peoples and to contribute to the integration of the Turkic World.
Issues discussed during the meeting pertained to the fostering of material, spiritual and cultural values of Turkic republics as well as to preparations under way for the participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Fourth World Nomadic Games to be held in Bursa, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2022.
