Visit of the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Mrs. Özgül Özkan Yavuz to TURKSOY Headquarters

A delegation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey headed by its Deputy Minister Özgül Özkan Yavuz visited the Headquarters of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY and met with its Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov.

In the meeting which took place in the Conference Hall of TURKSOY, Deputy Minister Özgül Özkan Yavuz received information on past activities as well as activities of TURKSOY  planned to be carried out  by the Ministry together with TURKSOY in the  coming year.

TURKSOY Secretary General Kasseinov who said that TURKSOY is always ready to cooperate with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Repubnlic of Turkey which also assumes the Term Presidency of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY following the declaration of Bursa as Cultural Capital of the TUrkic World 2022, further added that joint activities to be carried out in this respect will also be positively contributing to the promotion and development of culture and art in the Turkic World.

In the meeting, both parties further discussed issues such as the participation of artists from the Turkic World in festivals and cultural events to be carried out in Turkey, as well as the organization of new events which would take place with the contribution of television channels of countries of the Turkic World and introduce the traditional music and melodies of kindred peoples living in the Turkic World to young generations.

At the end of the meeting, TURKSOY Secretary General Kasseinov offered to the Deputy Minister Özgül Özkan Yavuz the art album "Reading Nezami Ganjavi" published by TURKSOY on the occasion of the 880th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Azerbaijani poet.
