Bust of Kadriya Temirbulatova inaugurated in Yalova
In commemoration of Kadriya Temirbulatova who passed away at a young age, a bust of the famous Nogai poet was inaugurated in the park located on the Barbaros Boulevard in the district of Sahil Mahallesi in Yalova. The inauguration held in cooperation of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY with the Municipality of Yalova Çiftlikköy gathered a large number of participants.
-Temirbulatova’s name will be remembered forever-
The Mayor of Çiftlikköy Mr. Ali Murat Silpagar who delivered a speech at the inaugural ceremony said that despite the fact that she died at a young age Mrs. Temirbulatova shined like a bright star and will never be forgotten.
Mayor Silpagar further added: “In her poems, Mrs. Temirbulatova always courageously expressed her commitment to her homeland, people, religion and language. Unfortunately, she had to pay for this courage with her life while she was still very young. Poems which she wrote as a Nogai Turkic woman opened up new horizons and marked Nogai Turkic poetry. It is therefore a great pleasure for us to inaugurate the bust of this famous Nogai poet and pay tribute to her memory which will from now on live forever in Çiftlikköy.”
-TURKSOY further contributes to Turkic culture, art and literature-
TURKSOY Secretary General Prof. Dusen Kasseinov: “Our organization which carries out activities to strengthen ties of brotherhood among Turkic speaking peoples, introduce Turkic culture to the world and transmit our traditions to future generations organizes various events to commemorate illustrious personalities of the Turkic World and pay tribute to their memory in gratitude for their precious contribution to Turkic culture, art and literature with a view to preserving the precious cultural heritage they left behind. Kadriya Temirbulatova is undoubdtedly one of these illustrious personalities of the Turkic World. The main themes she dealt with in her poems which she wrote in her mother tongue were love, homeland, motherhood, the steppe, the Nogai people and district. Her poems are written in such a fluent style that, when reading them, one literally hears the pleasant sound of Nogai melodies coming from endless steppes. It is therefore no coincidence that despite years passing by many songs were composed on her poems as they keep inspiring artists and people alike. Kadriya Temirbulatova who lives on with her poems died a horrible death whil she was still a youn lady. However, although she did not live a long life, she strongly contributed to the enrichment and development of Nogai literature and language.”
