TURKSOY fosters its ties with the Muniipality of Seferihisar

A delegation headed by the Mayor of the the Municipality of  Seferihisar in Izmir  Mr. Ismail Yetişkin met with TURKSOY Secretary General  Dusen Kasseinov in the Headquarters of the organization.

The Mayor Mr. Yetişkin who stressed that Seferihisar is one of the most quiet and peaceful places of Turkey which is particularlay appreciated by tourists for its beautiful nature as well asits local  customs and traditions added that the Municipality of  Seferihisar would be pleased to participate in activities carried out by TURKSOY in order to introduce Seferihisar to the Turkic World.

The Mayor who further informed Mr. Kasseinov about Seferihisar and possibilities it offers, said that Seferihisar has a rich cultural heritage and that its infrastructure is sufficiently developed to act as a partner of TURKSOY in activities it carries out.

TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov said that he welcomes the willingness of the Municipality of  Seferihisar to organize joint activities together with TURKSOY which hosts and organizes activities to promote the common culture and art of the Turkic World and added that TURKSOY will consider this proposal regarding its future events once the pandemic has ended.

In the meeting, TURKSOY Secretary General  Kasseinov handed over  publications of TURKSOY to the Mayor of  Seferihisar Ismail Yetişkin along with  the art album Reading Abai which was published on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Kazak intellectual  Abay Kunanbayev commemorated thoughout the year of Abay Kunanbay in 2020 and features maxims by Kunanbayev illustrated with paintings by artists of the Turkic World inspired therteby.

The Mayor Ismail Yetişkin offered to Secretary General Kasseinov  a vase with ornaments made  by craftsmen of  Seferihisar.
