Happy Nevruz 2019!

Below is the message of TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov on the occasion of March 21st, the International Day of Nevruz:

Today is our Feast!

Now is the time to awaken again to show our unity and solidarity to the whole world.

This is a day which stands for  renewal, tolerance and forgiveness.

May this precious feast of us rooted in our cultural values be a happy one!

Besides being a common heritage of the Turkic World, Nevruz is also a common cultural value of entire humanity.
Indeed, it has been included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in  2009. Furthermore, the United Nations declared March 21st as International Nevruz Day in 2010.
 
We will always preserve this tradition which stands for renewal and awakening. May Nevruz 2019 bring about happiness, health and serenity to everyone!
